The accused Rachhpal Singh rented a shop as a front and installed banned Chinese CCTV cameras, which sent live feed 24x7 to his handlers. Baddowal Cantonment is 6km from this spot and every military vehicle has to pass across the shop.
The base prominently houses the Indian Army's 17 Field Ammunition Depot. It serves as a vital storage and distribution hub for arms, weapons, and ammunition catering to forces stationed near India's western front.
