Their first letter came in February; the latest follows allegations that Pakistan has failed to fully comply with Supreme Court directives.
In their new appeal, they outline three clear demands:
1. That the Supreme CourtтАСappointed medical boardтАФwhich includes KhanтАЩs own doctorsтАФbe allowed to conduct a full, independent assessment of his health, particularly the reported vision loss in his right eye.
2. That weekly family visits, already reinstated by the Court, be honoured consistently, without interruption or administrative stalling.
3. That whatever treatment the medical assessment recommends be provided immediately.
Yet, if they truly want results, the captains should address their letter not to the Prime MinisterтАФbut to the man who holds the real power: Field Marshal Asim Munir, the army chief who effectively governs the country.
