LAHORE - In a significant pre-emptive strike, the Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has dismantled a terror network, arresting 12 alleged terrorists accused of operating with the backing of India's Research & Analysis Wing (RAW).

The intelligence-based operations, conducted in Lahore and Faisalabad, led to the seizure of a substantial arsenal intended for large-scale attacks. Recovered items include:

• IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices)

• Explosive materials and detonators

• A large cache of weapons

• A significant amount of cash, indicative of foreign funding.

Key Arrests: The core group, apprehended from Lahore, comprises individuals identified as Sukhdeep Singh, Azmat, Faizan, Nabeel, Abrar, Usman, and Sarfaraz. A crucial arrest was made in Faisalabad, where a suspect named Danish was taken into custody.

The Plot: CTD investigators revealed that the network had been receiving "substantial foreign funding" and was in the advanced stages of planning "large-scale terrorist operations" targeting multiple cities across Punjab province.
